This week was all about youtube videos! I found this really great youtube channel that was very helpful. The channel is called “ Homeschool Pop” and actually a few days after using it I noticed that in my link 2 practice class, my mentor teacher was using his videos as well. It is a really great resource for pretty much anything and he is very engaging. I found that for the Spanish aspect he made it really fun. There was a lot of repetition but this time I got to speak out loud and follow along with him. One of the videos I did was very basic but it was called “ Foods in Spanish”. Now it’s a pretty short video so it does not go through every possible food but I found it to be super helpful and quite exciting to watch. I have been trying to incorporate them into my everyday life and if I’m cooking or something I will try to say it. Makes it very exciting and alot more personable when I try to learn Spanish at all times, not just doing it “for homework”. When looking for YouTube videos, I noticed just how many different types of videos there were. I wanted a pretty quick and easy one and I was able to find that right away however there were some videos that were conversational Spanish videos that were almost 2 hours long. I might learn a lot more quicker that way but I want it to be fun and very accessible so 2-3 hours was not my style. I loved how fun the video I chose was and that I was able to connect more words together because of the new ones I know now. Here are some of the new words I learned from the video:
- Comida=Food
- El Pan= The Bread
- El platano= Bananas
- La Lechuga= The Lettuce
- El Arroz=The Rice
- Una Manzana= An Apple
As always, hasta la próxima vez!
