Alright, this week is huge. Mostly because I was super with school so I felt like I did not have a lot of time to do research for my FIP. But thankfully I did say I would use shows to progress my Spanish learning and one of my all time favourite shows is Jane The Virgin. I know it sounds weird but let me tell you its the best show ever. I wont tell too much about it because the first 2 minutes of the show are the whole plot line and I don’t want to ruin it. But the characters in the show LOVE telenovelas which are a Spanish drama types of shows. They have all these crazy twists and turns and are pretty much just Spanish soap operas. Any ways Jane the Virgin plays off of the telenovelas and actually have a huge dialogue of Spanish. One of the main characters can only speak Spanish so we get to hear her doing that with English subtitles on. It is definitely a show you have to sit down and watch because if you cant speak Spanish then it would be hard to follow along. The Spanish is wayyyy over my level but I love that I can pick up a few words and that I am learning new words just by reading the English subtitles while they speak Spanish. I really love this show and I hope everyone can watch it. I would actually do anything to rewatch it for the first time because of how many different twists there are. The main character is an amazing Latina actress and she puts so much emotion into this show and makes it so heartwarming. Anyway I love it and I love that I was able to connect it to my project and learn as I watched.
